The Artist’s Touch is now offering a new hyper-realistic “3D” method of permanent eyebrows makeup. It is a relatively new manual method called Microblading or Eyebrow Embroidery or Brow Resurrection. It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the skin. There is no “spilling” under the skin and the results are more successful than machine tattooed brows. The results are natural looking, crisp, fine hair-like strokes which mimic one’s own eyebrow hairs exactly. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows regardless of the amount of hair present. Also, people suffering from alopecia, trichotillomania or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading,

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match one’s original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is highly recommended to have a touch up done as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment (one touchup appointment is offered at no extra cost at The Artist’s Touch).

Permanent Eyebrows

The results can last anywhere from 1 to 5 years depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of color in the skin. The duration of permanent cosmetics is dependent on several factors, including client’s skin type and after care. All tattoos are subject to fading over time. Provided the after care is strictly followed, the Touch ups are recommended as needed. While there is some discomfort most people would not classify it as very painful. Topical anesthetics are used that numb the area locally. Most of the time will be spent analyzing your features and designing the best shape to complement your facial morphology. Your input is greatly valued at this stage, as you are most comfortable with your face. Once the shape and colors have been agreed upon, the tattoo process takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

What can I expect the day of the procedure?

First, your features will be carefully analyzed. Recommendations on shape, design and color according to your individual needs will be made. Once the design has been agreed upon, the cosmetic tattoo will be applied. There may be some swelling and redness following the procedure. The tattoo will appear darker initially, but the color will soften within a few days.

How do you choose designs and colors?

Jenifer has been an artist most of her life. She’s spent years playing with colors and perfecting faces. Although she is working on a different surface – the human skin, not canvas, she still relies on her years of training in and knowledge of color theory and the anatomy of the face. There are many different shades of pigment which can be mixed to create more colors. Every face is different and Jenifer takes great effort to ensure the color is just right for you. Designs are chosen to maximize the potential of your own face. Subtle changers can be made in the placement and shaping of the brow and can make an enormous difference. This is the most time consuming part of the procedure as well as the most important.

What if I don’t like it?

Although cosmetic tattooing is considered to be permanent, the procedure does allow flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. However, it is recommended that you work closely with your technician to ensure that you are both satisfied with the proposed technique. Your technician will allow you to have as much control over the procedure as possible, so there’s very little room for error. If you aren’t 100% sure you would benefit from permanent make up, please opt for a more temporary option.

Eyebrow Embroidery or Microblading

These are the latest techniques in eyebrow tattooing. This is when very tiny micro eyebrow strokes are placed delicately into the skin. This is the most natural beautiful permanent eyebrows, the end results are beautiful hair stokes permanent eyebrows which are finer and more defined than ever before. The entire process takes about one hour, and then you come back in about 6 weeks for a follow up to lock in colour if needed.
I believe micro-blading or micro-stroking eyebrows is the most natural technique to have done on your eyebrows.

Jenifer Broomberg creates the most natural looking, realistic hair strokes in permanent eyebrows makeup with the use of Manual Microstroking, also known as Eyebrow Embroidery. This technique allows Jenifer to create crisp, fine hairstrokes that fill in thin brows, brows with bald spots, total brow reconstruction and even alopecia. Imagine waking up to perfectly groomed brows everyday without having to worry about filling in, smudging, smearing or disappearing. Microblading is a pulling or swiping motion with a curved needle. This results in a fine line or scoring of the skin into which color is delivered by multiple needles on a slight curve. You’ll learn to use a type of pressure sensitive calligraphy movement with your handtool. Permanent eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
