The Artist’s Touch is happy to announce Collagen Induction Therapy with Réjuvapen which stimulates the skin’s natural healing, increasing the production of collagen and elastin.

The combination of controlled trauma to the dermis and the supply of external agents cause optimal natural collagen and elastin production with increasing circulation to the affected skin. The results are similar to erbium laser resurfacing and can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, stomach.

Micro Needling treats fine lines and wrinkles, acne and surgical scarring, burns, stretch marks, and firms and tightens the skin without causing damage. There is minimal to no downtime.

MICRO NEEDLING or COLLAGEN INDUCTION is the process of penetrating the skin at a 90% angle with tiny needles so as not to cause any damage to surrounding tissue. This creates hundreds of miniscule punctures in the skin, prompting the skin to begin its natural healing process.
  • As the skin attempts to heal itself, it produces COLLAGEN and ELASTIN to bolster the structures of the affected cells.
  • The treated areas gradually become smoother, firmer, and more radiant as the healing process takes place.
The body also delivers oxygen-rich blood cells to the area, increasing circulation to the affected skin.
Patients should be advised that multiple treatments will be necessary. The number of needling sessions depends on the individual skin condition.
  • Three or four treatments may be recommended for mild to moderate acne scarring, whereas deeper scars and stretch marks may require upward of five treatments.
  • An interval of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments is typically recommended. *Many practitioners are also doing maintenance treatments at intervals of 6 to 12 months.
  • The treated areas gradually become smoother, firmer, and more radiant as the healing process takes place.

  • Because it can be performed on all skin colors and types, it is sometimes the preferred treatment over laser as there is no risk of burning the patient.
  • The problem with lasers and aggressive chemical peels is that the dermis is an extremely complex, highly specialized organ. It may only be 0.2 mm thick but it is our only protection from the environment.
  • When we have aggressive laser treatments and chemicals peels, over time we thin our epidermis and decrease our dermal papillae which results in inflamed, drier and more wrinkled skin.

  • We should never damage the epidermis unless the risk of leaving the epidermis intact is greater than the risk of removing it and should try to ensure that the basic architecture of the skin is not altered.
  • To REJUVENATE the skin and look young, we need a PERFECT EPIDERMIS with natural dermal papillae, good hydration, normal color and normal resilience.
  • MICRO NEEDLING or COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY (CIT) is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure involving microscopic needle incisions in the dermis of the skin which triggers HEALING because the bleeding triggers the release of PGF (PLATELET GROWTH FACTOR) and FGF (FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTOR) stimulating collagen deposits.
  • CIT is the only skin rejuvenation treatment to target and regulate 3 key skin cells (keratinocyte, melanocyte and fibroblast) without compromising the integrity of the epidermis.
