What is Scalp Micro Pigmentation

Scalp Micro Pigmentation is the process of having the scalp tattooed with tiny dots that resemble the appearance of stubble, giving you the appearance of a shaved head. It is an immediate solution to hair loss without surgery, scarring or down time.

Why have SMP (Scalp Micro Pigmentation)?

While there is hope for men suffering hairloss eg: hair transplants, there’s little in the way of solutions for men who are totally bald.

Scalp micropigmentation creates the appearance of hair and a hairline.

SMP can also be used to camouflage scars from hair transplants or other scarring or to fill small areas where hair is thinning to make hair appear denser. It’s also a good option for men or women who suffer from alopecia universalis.

What does SMP involve?

Scalp pigmentation does not penetrate the skin as deeply as tattooing does and the color of the pigment is matched to natural hair colour and skin tone.
The technician will help to determine a suitable hairline , based on the natural hairline and shape of the face. Tiny dots are then tattooed into the skin. An appointment typically takes about three hours.
The permanence of the pigmentation depends on the skin of the client and it can be adjusted (and in some cases reversed). When the natural hair turns grey, the implanted color can be altered to match.
There is very little pain with the procedure and topical anesthetics are used if necessary to numb the scalp.
